Internet Explorer Context Menu

Overview

If you're using Internet Explorer, you'll see a few new items appear on its context menu when GhostSurf is running. These items will allow you to block ad images, block and unblock popups, and block and unblock personal information (cookies).

To block an advertisement in Internet Explorer, right-click the advertisement and choose "Block this advertisement" from the menu that appears. When you refresh the web page, the advertisement (and probably others) will be gone. If images that are supposed to be on the page also disappear, the ad is served by the website, not a third-party advertising company. In this case, you will have to unblock the site you just blocked. Right-click on the blank space where the image used to be, and choose "Allow this advertisement."

You can block and unblock popups and personal information (cookies) in the same way. When GhostSurf is not running, these items will not appear on Internet Explorer's context menu. If GhostSurf is running and the items do not appear, close and reopen Internet Explorer.
